When Flagrant reached out to us, we knew this was our chance to bring a vision to life, something that’s lived in our hearts for a long time.

We wanted to create something editorial that paid homage to our Caribbean roots. From the art direction to the styling, every detail was intentional. We wanted it to feel nostalgic—like a visual and sonic love letter to the energy we grew up around. Think Sean Paul, early 2000s dancehall videos, bold coloUrs, layered textures, and that undeniable rhythm that lives in your bones.

This was more than a shoot. It was about storytelling. About capturing the essence of CYRO and the culture that raised us.

INTERVIEW

As part of the project, we sat down with Flagrant and answered a few questions that gave us space to reflect on everything we’ve been building behind the scenes:

Where do you see yourselves in the next few years, and what are you working toward that people don’t see yet?

That’s a tough one, because there’s so much unfolding behind the curtain. From a DJ standpoint, one of our biggest dreams is to collaborate with artists in a deeper way: touring, opening for them, or curating moments that live beyond one night. We’re also scaling our own branded events like Glossy, Temperature, and Cyro’s World into large-scale experiences that feel global but rooted in community.

Our vision also includes expanding our Style Meets Sound series—working with fashion brands to bridge the gap between sound and style. We love beautiful things, and we’re passionate about integrating storytelling through clothing, energy, and space.

OWTG (Out With The Girls) is another major piece of our growth. It started as an intimate idea, just us and our friends. But now we see it becoming something so much more. A real community with membership perks, monthly events, and curated experiences rooted in empowerment and connection.

All of this is happening now. What people don’t always see is the hours of planning, strategy, and behind-the-scenes work. We meet every single week to stay aligned and intentional. We recently brought on four amazing women to help us scale, and the pieces are finally falling into place.

Who’s inspired you to think bigger about what your career could be—not just gigs, but the whole vision?

Honestly? Ourselves. From the beginning, we knew CYRO was more than music. We’ve always had this bigger vision in our hearts—one that blends music, fashion, community, and storytelling. But we also have to shout out those who lit the spark before us. Going to AMPM and seeing Killa Kels and Jeno spin? That changed everything. It was one of those moments where we looked at each other like, “We could do this. We should do this.” Their growth and talent continue to inspire us.

But mostly, it’s been each other and our community. That’s what keeps us grounded and dreaming bigger. It’s not just about the gig, it’s about creating lasting, meaningful experiences. We’ve always found joy in gathering, in hosting, in creating space that feels intentional. Especially for women. That’s the root of the bigger vision.

We’re building a platform to highlight local talent, amplify voices, and give back to the community that’s held us down since day one.

FLAGRANT RADIO EPISODE 13

As part of this project, we created a mix that’s rooted in that duality—the nostalgia of the old and the energy of the new.

It’s a sonic reflection of change, memory, and where Caribbean music has been and is going. It’s playful, powerful, and filled with love.
